No,plugging in a bad cable that allowed the disconnect to happen will not fix it, or re-connect. Just use your cable that came with the phone and plug it in to the USB on the bottom of the controller and you wont have to worry about re-connecting, because it wont disconnect anymore.

Letting it idle will not cool it down, only heat it up more as it is drawing power from the pack. What I am in the habit of doing, i will remove the battery pack after I land and shut down. This removes the heat from the pack and allows the quad to cool faster.

You can have both APPS on the device. Just be sure to close GO4 before opening Litchi. And vise versa. Can't have both open at the same time. I just make sure I close all open apps before flying.
