There is a guy on Youtube that did it and documented it. It was apparently not that hard, but hardly a trivial task. According to him, the firmware is apparently exactly the same and just reads a flag from the camera and behaves accordingly.
EDIT: Sorry. I misread this. I was talking about the...
I don't give a **** what you feel is vague. Your feelings are totally irrelevant here, as they are in most things when it comes to the law. It doesn't change what it is.
Sell what you have and stop flying if you don't like it.
The AMA IS the "community based organization". Stop being so damned contrary and admit you don't know everything and try listening for a change instead of just arguing (stupidly, I might add) about things you obviously know nothing about.
You can argue about this until the cows come home, but the AMA is THE community based organization that actually worked via lobbyists with the FAA to get these regulations put in place. Further, as far as I know, the AMA is the ONLY "community based safety code" that is recognized by the FAA...
If you send it to DJI, they are going to find a hundred reasons why it's ot OK to fly because it's been (obviously) exposed to extreme elements.
Just fly it like you stole it, because essentially, you did. So what if it screws up? You never expected to see it again anyway.
Me too. Except the P4P sensor doesn't add enough weight to the Mavic to matter, but that SENSOR matters. If DJI doesn't say Merry Christmas with the P4P sensor on the Mavic, they are stupid, and DJI has proven they are anything but stupid.Spring at the absolute worst case.
Probably just enough...
I'd be willing to lose a small fortune that this ain't the "run up to Christmas." This is to get the original off the market. For whatever the reason(s) may be. I still think we'll see a new Mavic before the Holidays. I've been wrong before.
A lot of this can only be answered as conjecture at this point. Fact is, nobody that can talk really knows until a few of us get our hands on one and I won't be one of'em because I have no interest in what it brings to the table beyond my MP. Especially not for $1100.
Though I realize that statement is somewhat subjective by its very nature, you lost any credibility to your post with that statement because anyone that has looked at the DJI site knows full well there are definitive and distinct differences in the airfoils.
Tell all the guys who used to hack DTV and Dish that. I'm an applied mathematics major and a number theorist by hobby. For 10^10^10 reasons, you are wrong, but it is beyond the scope of this exercise.
Whoever posted this probably hit the ENTIRE reason for the replacement on the head and didn't even realize it. I've been saying this all day. This is all about control of the hackers and very little else. Period. Until somebody proves me wrong.
Mavic Pro once sells out existing stock and...
Other than the mechanics of the gimbals and mechanical buttons, there's no reason for a TX to be any larger than a cell phone. As a matter of fact, if it weren't for these components, it could likely be much smaller. There's also the obvious practicality of creating a device comfortable and...
