That's super interesting. But are you saying all the people in this thread who connect to their Mavics just fine are using the cos firmware?

I wonder what hack mine uses. I bought it from a seller in China and it binds perfectly to both my Mavic 3 Pro and Mini 3 Pro. My understanding is the hack is just making the firmware think it's an RC Pro. But out of curiousity got a link to the firmware and instructions you're recommending?

That's weird. It's running DJI Fly right? Did you tell DJI Fly you're connecitng to a Mavic 3 Pro? Remember that it's ok to click ok to the dialog that says something like "this requires a firmware update", that's not really updating the firmware, that's just changing the firmware mode.

Yup. Didn't want people to obsess on the firmware, since I (still) don't think it's the cause. Was hoping to hear other ideas first.

This is an rc plus. That thinks it's a pro. But no, haven't opened it and don't look forward to it, but there are a lot of videos demonstrating how to do it. But it is easy enough to send out if needed. I'd sure love to get confirmation that this is the issue before I do though.

The constant beeping also happens when there's a joystick issue. Have you not experienced that? I do all the time, with this and my two RC 's and even my NS1. All the time. Usually jiggling the joystick fixes that. How would a firmware issue get introduced after months of use? And again left...

I don't think it's related to the hack though. Been using that controller as is for 6 months. In my experience the constant beeping indicates an issue with the joystick. Furthermore what firmware issue could the beeping possibly indicate, especially after it's been successfully used for months...

Not an option alas. It's running some custom firmware and they'll do an update on it for sure. So odd that there doesn't appear to be a place to see what exactly the alarm is about.

Done, no improvement even through a reboot.

This has happened to me occasionally in the past, where my RC Pro will start beeping during startup. Happens to my RC controllers too, and usually solved by moving the joysticks around. But yesterday my RC Pro started beeping during a flight and the left stick wouldn't respond to left/right...

Good point, that is indeed confusing. I have to click ok to the prompt that says "Firmware version inconsistent,. Update firmware before use" when I switch between my Mavic 3 Pro and Mini 3 Pro. I have to do that when using the RC or RC Pro too. That's different than updating the firmware on...

That's weird. Did you press the button on the drone for 3+ seconds until it started beeping in pairing mode and all that? And I know it sounds weird but sometimes I've had issues where a controller wouldn't pair to the drone because the drone was too close, so it's worth trying different...

Been there done that! I salute your creativity but personally I prefer the Plus controller. Above is my old rig, a 12.9" iPad Pro with the NS1 controller. I was an evangelist for that method for a long time. Super love the giant screen as you say. And I still think it's a better method than...
