Love my Air 3, but man, this Mini 4 Pro...

I think the operative word there is "go" and sometimes to be allowed to "go" (aka fly in the airspace) you need the mini so its not restricted based on weight. ;)

Accurate Return to home not working for others?

If you're going straight up and 20 or so feet an pausing perhaps there is dirt or something on the bottom sensor? My understanding is that it takes an internal image for reference, and then matches that on the landing since GPS isn't that accurate. Just to make sure it wasn't some update, I...

Mini 4 Getting to like Waypoints

The same view was a little redundant, I wanted a wide shot, and a horizon shot . maybe an establishing wide shot and then pivot the gimble down, and especially near the end when you are over the water. As a waypoint shot though, will be really cool if you keep getting this through the year and...

    Marine debris images

Also, what altitude? I was going to shoot max allowed by local airspace 400, then perhaps 200 and 100.

    Marine debris images

Where do you need drone / marine pics sent? Do you have dropbox, onedrive, etc. link, or just email? I've also reached out to a couple other drone groups on Facebook.

    Marine debris images

When do you need it by? May be able to get some of a local river this weekend. What type of debris? Trash, or washed up natural debris?

Automation app for Mavic Mini Pro 4?

I will defer to your expertise with Litchi. yes it may be just as smooth as waypoints on the drones that have waypoints, but from my point of view, the only time I have used/would use litchi is on a drone that doesn't support waypoints. At least for my purposes there is no reason to use litchi...

Workflow for processing large amounts of footage?

Thanks, you restated my issue in a much clearer fashion. Not just LOTS of footage, but just a few files with lots of scenes within them I need to break out. Watching that video, I think sub-clips may be something that makes my process faster.

Automation app for Mavic Mini Pro 4?

First you said I was incorrect, then you agreed with me. Your second point is exactly the point I was trying to make since the Air3 does have built in waypoints. Waypoints would provide exactly the functionality the OP needed, " pre-programmed camera shots - Panning, looking up, down, yaw all...

Workflow for processing large amounts of footage?

His tutorial is really good, but assumes you are starting with a bunch of individual clips, not long shots you need to break into clips. I guess for now I'll keep using the cut page, with a dummy timeline I can throw all my precut clips on, and then move those into the main project time...

Workflow for processing large amounts of footage?

I'm sure the more pro pilots / photographers just go out and shoot what they need, and editing is very quick. On the other hand there are folks like me will have some general ideas, but return with a lot of footage. As a result, one of the longest steps is organizing my footage into shots, or...

Will DJI RC prevent Mavic from entering airspace where LAANC is required?

If you're in uncontrolled airspace cross that imaginary line into controlled airspace you'll get an alert. I have controlled airspace about 2 blocks from my house, and depending where I want to fly for sunset, etc. shots, I have to get LAANC. When I cross into controlled space the controller...

Automation app for Mavic Mini Pro 4?

I agree, the included waypoint functionality not only does what the OP was looking for, but unlike litchi will do the smoothest transition between waypoints. So if waypoint 1 is 30 feet elevation and looking at POI (say top of water tower) and waypoint 2 60 feet up, pulled back another 100...

    Stealth upgrade props for M4P

Exactly, and that perception is more observable at distance. AKA you'll notice the OEM props at a lower altitude and closer distance than you would the MAS props.
