Sport mode only turns off horizontal sensors. The bottom sensor is still active and will cause it to gain altitude if approached from the bottom while in hover. You can turn off all sensors in the menu and would be safer than sport mode.

What other brand has the features, quality and price point of DJI? I think its time to buy. If I can get 6 years out of my Mavic 4Pro and Mini 5 I will be good. Maybe by then the US will have caught up some but I am afraid the price will be sky high.

This is not the deal that the M5P was. With Mic 3 out you can get the Mini just about anywhere for the $99. B & H and Adorama have it at $99.

I have been on here since June and have only seen one issue that a few have had. It's a problem with OA where it has false detections out of the box. Most have resolved it by a technique to recalibrate the OA sensors.
