    Remote ID for MA 2

I obviously don't have any concrete evidence of what DJI will do, but the example you have is when DJI knows (or thinks, because sometimes it is wrong, like flying indoors in a NFZ) that you are in violation. Any drones requiring remote ID manufactured after October 2022 should actually not...

    Remote ID for MA 2

As noted, we'll see a lot of firmware updates for compliance. For those drones that don't get the firmware update, I don't see how/why DJI would prohibit take off. Your path to being legal is likely an external module. The drone will have no idea there is an external module or not, so it has...

    Negative Altitude Readings Air 2S

DJI drones store Relative Altitude (height above takeoff) and a calculated Absolute Altitude (height above sea level) in the EXIF. Lightroom only shows the Absolute, and the DJI calculation of it is not great and often is quite a bit off as you see. If you use something else to read the EXIF...

Remote ID sub 250g used for rec and 107

No, this is not correct. A drone that does not need to be registered (such as a sub-250g drone used for recreational purposes only) does not need remote id to fly. The only other note/exception is that a sub-250g drone used recreationally for SUSTAINED flights over people will also require...

    Remote ID

I wouldn't go all conspiracy theory on this, the rules are not even written yet. Seems pretty basic though....If you want to fly BVLOS, they want to know where you and your drone are. Having Remote ID for BVLOS is one of the few (maybe only) cases where it makes sense for the public to be...

    Remote ID

The Add on module does not broadcast the current location of the controller, only the take off point. And, as noted above, you are still limited to VLOS in all cases (for now).

    Remote ID

Obviously some confusion here based on a few screen shots, but lets not get too carried away. In the US: 1 - You do not need cellular for remote id. For "standard" remote ID (the left one in the picture a few posts above) the location of the base station/pilot needs to be broadcasted. The...

    Remote ID

I'm not watching the video, but noticed it is old. There is no exemption below 300 feet.

RC Pro Now Compatible With Mini 3 Pro!

Seems from the reviews range may not be improved, but the RC Pro has more antennas (not just "external") and in FCC mode transmits with more power. Of course, signal loss often starts with the drone's video feed, so transmit power of the RC may not help much.

1 Month old mini 3 pro RTH landed itself on ankle deep sea water. Help needed!

I didn't look at the log file, but from the flight recording, it looks like you updated the home point to the drone's current location at that time and not the RC's current location, and when it went low battery, it returned to the drone's location at the time you set it. You can update the...

3rd Flight with New Air 2s... Add me to the List

The term "Flyaway" is probably poorly named by DJI. It covers the case where the drone is not recoverable due to a malfunction (inside of the refresh period but outside of warranty as warranty would cover it otherwise) as well as pilot accidents. It does not cover stolen product or products...

Controller Terminology and Compatibility Level Setting.

I can't seem to edit the original post anymore. So, Update: As of July 1, 2022 the DJI RC (RM330) is now also compatible with the Mavic 3.

Worst thing about Mini 3 Pro and the new DJI RC and the FLY APP

As I posted above, the Nits are not logarithmic. The screen really does produce 43% more light per the same area and a machine would detect it. However, our eyes/brains don't perceive it as 43% brighter, because our eyes interpret light on a different scale -- so to our eyes the difference...

    When to change the propellors?

DJI's recommendation (I believe their support people have quoted this in their forums, not sure if it is published in any manuals) is to change them after 200 flights. Seems like flights wouldn't be the best metric to use (as opposed to hours, revolutions or something) but it is at least...

Will DJI Make a Plus Battery for the Air 2S?

They have 2 batteries for the Mini 3 Pro because they needed lighter one to stay under 249g. Since the Air 2/2S isn't coming anywhere close to that, there was no need for a light one. We've got the "Plus" version to begin with. As noted in other threads, the 3750 doesn't really give you any...
