We aren't talking about the position of the horizon on the video. We are talking about the aircraft applying its own banking inputs when forward and yaw input is all the user has given. Many other users have verified this. Is that what you are referring to? I personally haven't flown much since...
I swear. After all the threads about this you still get responses about the gimbal and FPV mode. It is a documented fact now that the new firmware changed the flight behavior of the MA2. That is all.
I like it myself and I more or less fly to fly. Haven't done much video type stuff lately so I can't say how it will affect that.
Seems like a win really!
No, it will only introduce a bank when moving forward. I guess it could backwards but I haven't tried. If you are hovering it will just yaw like normal.
I'm going to get a video of it here this evening and post it, hopefully!
Cool, keep me us posted on what their take is on it. If needed I could get a video demonstrating the aircraft banking sideways while only using forward pitch and yaw inputs.
As stated by my previous posts this has nothing to do with the gimbal and everything to do with the aircraft itself.
The aircraft now banks left or right when you add yaw input while flying forward.
Honestly unsure if this is a problem or not myself either. This seems like one of those situations where it's more likely to be a "feature" than a "bug".
I do think this behavior would allow the front sensors to better scan the environment while in flight and help prevent from flying sideways...
I am having this exact behavior with the new Fireware also. I only noticed because I was doing some playing around at low altitude and the aircraft definitely banks when applying forward pitch and yaw now like how a fixed wing aircraft would maneuver.
Honestly doesn't bother me as you can't...
Just got the email from DJI. They're fixing it for free under warranty. I did have a surprise with the assessment also, they are replacing a front arm also. Couldn't tell from the photos but super happy it's not costing me anything!
I honestly haven't troubleshooted it at all yet. It happened once on vacation on a windy day. Then it was fine yesterday. And now today its back with a vengeance. Any other recommendations I should try?
