5.5 CS does NOT need a battery to work?

I just got my 5.5 display. I plugged it into my USB powerbankd with a USB to USB-C and it fired up no problem. Inspired - I put the thing on my Phantom 4 remote cradle (no battery) and plugged into the RC.

IT WORKS

I don't have a Mavic yet but I don't see why it would be any different - or what the issues might be?

Can someone try it? Take off the battery and plug the USB-C into the socket under the CS screen and hook it up.

The 5.5 version can be powered without the battery, the 7.85 version cannot.

The main problem you'll have with the Mavic is the controller battery is very small compared to the Phantom controllers...
