one person checking something i took for granted is a win
The thing flies itself so well it leaves other minor shite to cause drama - trying to foolproof so many user / design /software variables at once ! not an easy task.My pre-routine now includes running my fingers over the entire gap between battery and aircraft and seeing if there is ANY gap or area where the battery is not completely flush with the aircraft battery. Hopefully, I'll avoid all of this battery ejection nonsense with this step...
On one of my batteries, the barb is a bit further in than the rest. If I tugged at the battery just right, I could pry that side free. Definitely need to be consious about checking that.
Note that there are switches in the battery to detect if the battery isn't fully seated and warn you in the app, but that only seems to happen if BOTH latches are not seated. Should be the opposite. I believe it still will let you fly with the warning, in case of false alarms, so again, no reason to flag battery latch issue if EITHER latch is detected not to be in place.

Thanks for sharing this. No doubt it will save someone else' battery. I have the Mavic Air and was surprised and please one day when a message came up on Go4 saying that my battery was not fully seated--and it wasn't.
In a quiet environment such as my home I can hear two distinct clicks it I listen carefully. I can understand how out in the field with noise around one would not hear the clicks and assume the battery is fully seated when it is not.

Hrm interesting - ill play and see if i get an error. I wonder if it can be so poorly placed that the latches are actually in their pushed out (seated) position, i definitely dont take off with the red banner - so assume the warning would flag up there!
Definitely check it. I had a message on my second flight to check my battery. Sure enough I could pull it right out. Easy enough to check before flight. I have seen a lot of people with the fell out of the sky thing that probably were batteries popping out. Just check it before flying. Takes 2 seconds.
this is probably what happened to my mavic 2 zoom!!! crazy this is definitely a design flaw.
