Interesting. Maps and panoramic images always draw me in. What are the circular things in the right foreground of the third photo? is that a tidal flat at low tide? And what are things that look like stacks of large slabs of rock inside the temporary fence? Care to share the location?

the rings i think you are referring to are to help with drainage, and stabilisation of the surface of the coal spoil ,the Parc is on the site of the now closed Penallta colliery
the horse is Sultan The Pit Pony ,a sculpture made using the spoil .
and finally the large slabs of what appear to be rocks, are a new climbing area that is under construction ,the different sized structures have a impact absorbent material around them, similar to what is used in children's play ares, and eventually it will have a proper fence around it
