A few questions from a beginner-please help!

Hi all,

I'm new to droning, and only flowin the Mavic a few times now. I have however watched loss of YouTube tutorials,but there are a few things I can't quite understand, and hope somewhere here who has far more exported will be able to guide me.

1) in P mode, automatic take off works fine. And hovers as it should.after this, I can go up and down no problem. However, after flying a bit, my drone doesn't want to seem to descend when I push down....going up is no issue.It will only go to landing mode if I hold the stick long enough. Any idea what's going on?

2) I want to change my default video settings-can this only be done when the drone is on and connected to the remote? For that matter, will any settings I change in the app only 'stuck' if drone is on and connected to the remote?

3) when I go into EXP under Manon controller settings-advanced, I only see Normal as an option, when some YouTube videos show 3 profiles- any idea why I don't see 3?

4) in EXP again,throttle/rudder/forward are each set to .50, which seems a lot-what is good setting to capture smooth videos?

5)under visual navigation settings, and advanced,what is recommended to be turned off or on?

6) that warning message when battery drops,any way to make it less dramatic?

7) I don't see spotlight mode amongst all the options...any use why?

2) You can only change when all three devices are connected. No way around that.
3) How old is the video you referenced? Some things have changed and some videos are no longer valid.
4) Reference YouTube
5) Depends on the terrain you're flying over. If you're new, why would you want to turn any settings that could be helpful to you flying, off?

forward Sensor off over 40 m 120ft what you going to hit.? and reflecs from sun could Stop your drone
Down position sensor if you fly low over whater
alway fly
Loss of signal with controller return home
and CSC should be set in Breakdown mode not always
Never fly under 20% battery just dont.!

So if you're landing your Mavic descends to about 12 feet and just hovers? What happens if you reset your left stick and then pull it down again (not all the way down)?

It seems to respond to me telling it to go up or down intermitently...again, mostly just after I have taken off this works fine, and then after flying for a bit and going into just hover, only way it goes down, is if hold down, and then it starts to go into land mode...very frustrating. Any ide what I'm doing wrong? I can fly and go up or down, but in hover not that responsive.

How do you reset a stick? What is meant by this?

I guess your can make sure you're in Mode 2 and then try a sticks calibration.

1) Launch Go4
2) Go into "Remote Controller Settings"
3) Remote Controller Calibration
4) Calibrate
