Great video, beautiful scenery ! Which drone do you have ?
Having the ability to get aerial video like this off a small affordable drone, in 2020, is just absolutely brilliant. When flown carefully and with consideration to a range of items, as a person interested in photography, to me it is simply magic. Nice job. Memories for life and thanks for sharing. It is a beautiful area.
Minnesota State Parks say you can't launch of land in the park... so I didn't. Flew just outside the South border of the park. I've had other Minnesotans suggest flying from the bridge, but I think that is technically still in the park. Plus, I kept the drone away from the crowds and also kept it high enough that most wouldn't have even heard it over the waterfall.Just wondering, no harm intended. Is it ok to fly a drone in the state parks in Minn.?
Thanks, It's a waterfall I've been to many times and dreamed and planned to fly here (legally) for several years. Glad I could finally make a decent video of it.Having the ability to get aerial video like this off a small affordable drone, in 2020, is just absolutely brilliant. You’re not supposed to fly in the state parks but state forests are good to goJust wondering, no harm intended. Is it ok to fly a drone in the state parks in Minn.?
Correct, and Minnesota actually stipulates that you can't launch or land in the State Park, but flights from outside the park are acceptable. I put a little disclaimer at the end of my video stating I was not piloting from inside the park. You’re not supposed to fly in the state parks but state forests are good to go
