I guess those dwellings were closed due to likely pollution, contaminants to the dam.

You are a very observing person those dogs were friendly but way too big and with goggles, I am of little assistance to her... She sure can handle them, but ...

What I found were dam builders slipping quarters and then leaving not needed. For years they were used for different endeavors but now they are in ruin's
