Active track, Focus track. Confusion

Ok read the doc. I can get the drone to focus track/spotlight.
but can not get active track to work.
I make a box around me and have the 3 options, then a help screen opens and I close it.
I select [.] active track but it won’t track me. It still turns To keep the cam on me but never moves to follow.
