Hello everyone

I had my Air 2s fall twice for no apparent reason. I didn't get any errors before this happened but I noticed a change in engine sound. I hooked it up to the Assistant app on my PC and got an incompatible firmware error and knew it was the battery. Two of them. My question is, could this cause the sudden loss of upward propulsion? I'm hesitant to fly the drone now...

Did you check the flight data on AirData? Did you get the flight log txt file from you device? The information you seek is likely in the flight log file.

Battery firmware won’t have caused this. The incompatible firmware error message is just a prompt to upgrade to match the version that goes with the last aircraft update.

The flight logs will give an indication of the cause, which could be caused by numerous issues. Several members of the forums will be able to point to the most likely cause from the logs.

Check your batteries for swelling. Sometimes they swell just enough at temp under load to disconnect briefly.
