So after dropping my RC2 at the dealer for being faulty, I was called today by the same dealer saying that Dji has done a full recall on the Air 3 because of issues. They say i need to send the drone back. I will get a full credit on the fly more combo but cannot get a credit for the 2 years care refresh and ND Filters i have purchased. How far is this true? Anyone had this recall?

There is nothing from DJI about any recall that I can find.
Without a link to that little list. I would call this a rumor.
I would think DJI would have had a better explanation for a recall than "issues"

Are those two skus the remote controllers for those drone serial numbers?

That's true. I called Dji Australia and enquired and they were curious about the dealer opening a seperate Case number when returning my stuff, they avoided to answer about the recall.

Those are Remote ID serial numbers.

Yes, the RID is in fact also the manufacturer serial number for DJI drones.

In any case, this "recall" is completely bogus, and highly suspicious.

Not really. Dji confirmed a recall of a few Air 3 drones due to issues on their Forum so not bogus as you say. The list I posted is legit serial numbers of Air 3 drones being recalled.

it's probably really a tsb or technical service bulletin. there's a difference but for the larger audience (like the drone community) where the terms are causal and used interchangeable, don't matter that much i guess. in the usa, this wouldn't be a recall.

Correct.

An "Air 3 recall" as the thread title states is complete fiction, as I said.

A handful of units for which there was some specific problem during manufacture, were recalled. All the other thousands upon thousands of Air 3 drones can stay where they are, in the hands of their owners.

I.e., no recall.
