I want to share a comparison video between the three drones by a YouTube channel called Tom Whazzup. It is mostly regarding the quality, perceived resolution, and dynamic range of video taken with these drones.
The reason for this share is because this is the first video I’ve seen where he allows you to see the differences for yourself, and to judge for yourself.
Yes, YouTube compression will have an impact but at least we know that all the footage is passing through that same YouTube compression so the ability to compare can still be valuable.

Good video. Hoping somebody does something similar for still photos.
I might try something like that when I get my 3S. Thinking of placing the Air 3 and Air 3S in a specific spot on the floor and taking shots of my back yard, one drone at a time, so both drones are at the same exact spot with same framing. Comparing the wide angle sensors/lenses and then the telephoto sensors/lenses and comparing both 12MP mode and 48/50MP mode and even trying things such as taking the photos in auto mode and then manual mode with the same EV values since f1.7 and f1.8 are only half of a third of a stop in exposure difference, and then uploading the DNGs for anyone who is curious.
The far side of my back yard is pretty much a forest so I think it will be a good subject for testing because of all the detail in the trees and branches and leaves and some of the sky for dynamic range comparisons etc.

That would be great. I see you're located in the US so your 3s might be hung up in customs for awhile but whenever that sorts itself out and you get around to it I'd love to see the results. Whether I buy is hinging on still quality at this point. I'm fairly certain based on what I've seen that I'm going to be happy with the video quality but do a lot of photography and I've started getting prints made recently so the photo quality is a big deal.

Actually, it seems like a number of us here at the forum, whose drones came through the Los Angeles Gateway, had their drones cleared through customs between last night and this morning! A number of us might in fact receive it Monday!

I think I'll add a comment on his channel requesting he put his video up on Drive so people can watch it without any YT processing.

Any concerns of IP protection is silly... anyone can "steal" a YT video with screen recording.

One thing you might try is grab some of the 50MP images posted here by others, then mess around with them like you might with your own captures... see what you think of the result.

Nice review but I asked him what he thought about removing or not inserting the Anti Aliasing filter in the sensor from the air3s and I haven't had an answer yet, here in the beautiful country (Italy) in our villages we find a continuous moire' effect on our red roofs that we can't remove, it appears everywhere and casually, just a square surface with a uniform texture.
