I just bought Alientech antenna booster after watched review from youtube. Now waiting it to come. Anyone here used it? How do u find it?

I have the 2.4g pro and it works great for me. My range went from 2500ft stock to 25000ft. You will be glad you bought it.

Jeff
The 2.4 is non amplified, i have that one too, it is better but the 5.8 amplified when loose signal, it is GONE til the bird is almost back to home. SUCKS!!

Absolutely incorrect! The 2.4g pro is indeed amplified, hence the 2 18650 batteries. They also do not cost $500 as you posted. $309 shipped!

Im going to go ahead any ignore cbcgeorge as he hasn't really contributed anything.

I can only comment on 2.4ghz version for Mavic Pro, but yes it is kind of a must have if you have the money.
Some people with 5.8 complain but I tend to err on the side that they didn't read the manual, Switch Bands/Channels in GO.
are trying to fly from the middle of a concrete highrise Carpark, or maybe even forgot to turn it on.

Jeffm912 suggesting the AT PRO to me, and It is hands down the best booster on the market.
Some say narrow beam, but I think they are flying a bit low.

Picked up a spare set of Batteries for mine today out of interest.

good to hear good to hear... my 2.4 is on its way, here by friday. cant wait to give it a whirl!

I did not know they had a amplified 2.4, I think that the 2.4 would b better for long distance. the 5.8 does have great penetration where have lots of trees, up to about 7500-8000 ft. just dont let it loose signal!
I paid 500 for mine, but that was doing my remote too. I am sure I got overcharged!

yeah i paid just over 300 shipped express 2 day from hong kong.

going to have to do my own rc though.

By the way, the 4w 2.4 boards in the alientech are the exact same amps that are in the little black edup amps that sell for about 25 bucks. And the antennas go for about 10 bucks. $250 is a lot of money for a housing, 2 batteries, and an on/off switch....just saying....

That being said, it DOES work very well, but it’s a lot to pay for something that anyone with a very basic level of technical know-how could cobble together for under $100

EXACTLY AS I FIGURED. Here’s my set up. 9dbi panels made by TP link 12 bucks each. One powered “black dragon” which is actually a bird with a branch in its beak lol.... one empty black bird amp as a pass through on the right 9dbi tp link. Works great. Only thing is I register 4 bars a lot instead of 5. Although I can get out to max battery ranges, I always turn around at 30k feet.

I had a sneaking suspicion those were dragon amps, housed with panel antennas. Here’s my set up, not as pretty but works like a charm. I get 4 bars instead of 5, but get out to 30k feet plus, and turn around. In Downtown Houston mind you... ate up with signal.

All depends on the location you are flying. I see stock MP1’s getting distances of boosted set ups, and vice versa.

My diy alientech setup.
I'm was doing that with occusync 2 I purchased the duo 2 amplifier from alientech, the most expensive over on their site and if you have occusync 2 don't waste your money ive done 22000ft distance on occusync to. It's very directional the cost and gains you get are not worth it. Interference is still a factor where I live I actually get more interference notifications then I did before install.
