Ships through Amazon and the seller apparently has a 95% rating with 69 reviews.

I'm just passing along info.

I think we all know "Smart Fly Gear."

I wouldn't buy a drone from them but others are welcome to give it a shot.

When I buy from Amazon, they deliver my goods to an Amazon locker is 1 or 2 days.

Until this item "shipped from Amazon" but not to a locker and with this expected arrival date:

Tuesday, Sep 23 - Saturday, Sep 27

Doesn't seem very "Amazonian" to me. ;)

Amazon is running two platforms.
One comes from their warehouses. Good luck with them ever stocking drones in their warehouses.
The second platform as a drop shipper. They facilitate sales from others where they take a cut of the cash just like the way Ebay does.
When a bogus seller pops up, Amazon loses money since they give a full refund. If the seller is bogus, Amazon cuts them off.

Amazon should make that distinction. When people see "shipped by Amazon" they believe the actual product is located in one of the many Amazon warehouses and if you buy it, an Amazon truck will deliver it to you just as they would any other item shipped by Amazon.

If the items says "Sold by Smart Fly Gear" and "Shipped by Smart Fly Gear" then Amazon will still take a cut. Why does Amazon need to insert their name into the process by being deceptive? Is it because consumers have lost faith in buying DJI drones on the Amazon.com platform? Most people never see the Sold by / Ship by section and believe everything on Amazon.com comes from Amazon so it's already pretty shady.

Just for the record, I am aware of the current model where you have a company like Adorama who want to sell drones to the end customer (not to Amazon) and use the Amazon platform (for a fee); their listings would says something like "Sold by Adorama" and "Ship by Amazon." But Adorama will send 250 drones to Amazon who will stock them in their top 25 fulfillment centers ready to go. Adorama's job is to keep the supply current. When a customer orders and pays, they get a drone from the Amazon fulfillment center, not from the Adorama store. Adorama gets paid, Amazon takes their cut.

Amazon "used" to buy drones from DJI. They had a contract and per the terms, Amazon would pay DJI untold millions of dollars and a ton of drones would ship from China to Amazon. Amazon owned all of these drone and they did whatever they wanted with them which is usually put them in all the fulfillment centers and sell them at MSRP. The listing would say "Sold by Amazon.com" and "Shipped by Amazon.com" and there was never ever a listing that said "Sold by DJI" and "Shipped by Amazon." Pretty sure Amazon has cancelled or suspended that contract with DJI.
