Anyone have Schematics to make FAA strobe lights?

Aloha,
I just had my 2nd strobe led FAA light break. I have soldering skills but was wondering if anyone had schematics or how to instructions so I can build my own. At this rate I prefer to build my own. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Don’t they have to be FAA certified for 3-miles? If not, something like this driver ought to be bright enough, get a 1amp Cree LED and minitureize their design a bit by using surface mounted resistors instead. What are you planning to use for power and charging the batteries, and plugs? Even though it sounds fun, it will be quite a project if you want to fly it in a week. I love the hackaday site:
