Passed my Part 107 exam yesterday, but I've been flying my so-new-it-still-squeaks-when-I-turn-sharply Mavic Air 2, and having a ball with it.

I live under a 300ft ceiling not far from Sky Harbor, so I've been very careful to file LAANC when I fly at home.

I've been a photographer for a few decades, mostly theatre and weather photos. Recent mobility issues have caused me to look into ways I can put a camera somewhere without having to stand up and walk to it... hence the very new interest in drones.

Welcome to Mavic Pilots! :) Enjoy the forum!Thumbswayup
Congrats on passing your 107!:D

Yay! Congrats on both counts! I'm new to drones, recently passed my Part 107 and recently bought a Mavic Mini. And I live in the Phoenix valley. Mornings are the only time of day cool enough to fly - and we have some huuuuge fires in the area. Even with all that, I've been having a ball with my Mini, too.
Happy flying

The Bush Fire no-fly/NOTAM area starts barely 20 miles or so east of me.

Welcome to our Forum, from the friendly skies of Texas!

You picked a winner in the MA2. Lots of neat stuff to shoot all over this great land. When you need help, there are over 100,000 of us here to provide guidance as you grow as a pilot and photographer. Just ask!

Glad you've joined us!

...and even more official. I received my plastic FAA card today, exactly one month after I passed the exam. I guess they've been working faster, or their workload has decreased with all the testing centers being closed.

Put your website in your header, you can do this because you are a premium pilot. ?
(Like mine is, below my location)

I can't see your signature on my mobile. But your header is always visible. ??

Welcome back to the forum. You will find all sorts of support and assistance. We look forward to seeing your part of the world.

Congrats for passing the 107

...and this is weird. I finally got the e-mail from IACRA about my Remote Pilot temporary certificate today.

I had printed it back on June 23rd, and received my plastic on July 18th.
