My fellow flyers in Northern Europe will know that we have had the worst summer for many years. Here in the U.K. July was very nearly the wettest on record and the start of August hasn’t been any better. BUT this afternoon it abated and I got a couple of less than full batteries away. Few shots of Bristol Downs, the River Avon, the Avon Gorge and a view down to the Severn Estuary. See how green it is?

@twickers14 thanks ,the Air 3 is a great bit of kit that's for sure, although i have to fly it in the C2 open category, having the A2 C of C makes a big difference ,as it allows me to fly it 30m during take off and landing ,and 50m during flight ,from uninvolved people ,having the telephoto camera makes a big difference,
its so much clearer than a digital zoom
for me the Air 3 is the new Mavic 2 ,its such a natural replacement for both the MPP and the M2P
and it has the advantage of much improved ,avoidance systems, and long flight time to boot
when i purchased my MPP nearly 5 years ago ,the fly more combo cost me £1,259 now the Air 3
with the new RC2 ,cost me £1,379 ,and with the standard RC-N2 controller its even less at £1,199 for the fly-more ,

Few manufacturers develop and introduce a product upgrade without seeking a significantly higher price. Have to say I did not do the sums when I looked at this superb new Mavic Air but these figures make a lot of sense. My Air 2 is flying and has flown perfectly for over two years so I don’t think my Mrs will be keen for me to add to my 2 drone stable but your figures should help others to take a very close look.

@twickers14 ,its all about the perception ,of what the name of the product line up is,
and of course the price point ,
plus the fact that the components used now ,compared to 5 years ago, have significantly become smaller therefore lighter, and also the improvements to design and manufacturing, who would have thought that this new Air 3, could actually have a quicker climb and decent rate, than the mighty Mavic 3 ,i very much doubt there will be variants of the Air 3
the Air series has finally grown up ,its no longer the poor relation to the Mavics ,in terms of performance flight times or capabilities
