If the landing area is free of obstruction then I would suggest resetting the controller to restore the fly app. You may also consider contacting DJI directly for advice.

Assuming this is the same controller:

To factory reset a DJI remote, you can do the following:

1. Turn on the remote
2. Swipe down twice on the main screen to open the notification screen
3. Tap the Settings icon in the top right corner
4. Tap System at the bottom of the screen
5. Tap Reset options
6. Tap Erase all data (factory reset)

If this is not the controller you have, you may just need to uninstall and reinstall the Fly App

I would be inclined to ALWAYS use manual control during landing.
