Last few times I have flown just before landing I will get a backwards sensor error. After restart it goes away. I was wondering if the sun can cause this as it seems to happen in the morning when the sun is coming up and very bright.
Tried searching and there seems to be mixed feelings about it.
Trying to calibrate is like trying to play a video game. Very touchee and I find hard to do.

What is a backwards sensor error? Can you do a screen shot of the message?

If you think the sun is an issue, rotate the drone 90 - 180 degrees before descending and see if the error is still there.

The sun will indeed cause sensor errors try MS Coast's idea.
When Calibration time comes get your drone away from any metallic objects and away from any concrete. I use a piece of plywood outside away from stuff that can cause problems.
I think you have a grasp on what is happening though.
