I know what you mean. I grew up in the nearest town, Grantham. Of course, we could never see the Castle from the air, but it certainly exuded a powerful impression upon us all...I am drawn to the understated beauty of this place, it's a place that feels like a hidden sanctuary.
It's a beautiful shot of a beautiful castle. I am disturbed by the dark shadows of the left sided foreground. Certainly you could open those shadow details with software. I notice this in many of the shots submitted.During my recent visit to my homeland (the UK), took these on a winter's morning, just before a front moved in.

Yes it’s certainly a nice place to live, I live at Stathern a small village a few miles down the road from the castle. We’re very lucky to have the castle and the 11th generation Duke of Rutland who lives there too.
