Very cool location. I looked it up on the map and it's well within a mile's distance from a lot of parks and good take-off locations. Where did you fly from? I saw "Scenic View Park" on the map. Looks like it would be a great launch site.

I'm going to put that on my list of places to drone-visit.

i took off from the yacht house tht is across from the island.

the only thing is that you have to take off after business hrs, they very antidrone , the close at 7:30pm during the summer and 6:30pm in the winter

Casino Island looks even more appropriate. It seems to have benches lining the waterway where you could maintain general LOS and have excellent reception.

i will be going back to visit more islands in the area.
