This is just a few clips from practice flights, early spring on the C&O Canal in Montgomery County, MD. One of the closest places I can fly outside of the large NFZ from National Airport.
I'm always working on combination moves with forward travel, sweeping turns, elevation change and gimbal tilts. I missed a couple logical tilts here, but it's challenging to do tight turns and tilt simultaneously.
When I reviewed the footage afterward, I noticed a bald eagle fly out of my view in one of the clips. I've seen a bald eagle in this area once or twice before, but it's quite rare to see them.

Spring flooding it looks like.
Well, the water level is a little high, typical in springtime. The rock bridge I fly from was underwater for most of the 2018 season a couple summers ago, which made it difficult because the C&O Canal is a National Park for 175 miles on the MD side of the river. The park ends at the water's edge, so I fly from the rocks or kayak in the river... unsafe in flood conditions.
