On a Facebook page I saw this rather interesting (and unfortunate) serious injury reported in CADORS, Canada's civil aviation incident reports database.
The link is long, if it doesn't work the CADORS number is 2022P2716 and you can find it from their website that way.
The interesting bits are that the incident occurred in 2022, but it wasn't reported to CADORS until May 2024. Also, it meets the criteria for a reportable incident to the TSB (serious injury resulting from contact with remotely piloted aircraft), but that report is not listed on the TSB website.
The incident occurred during fire management operations by BC Ministry of Forests, according to the CADORS info. It involved a serious injury during a hand catch of an Autel Evo II Enterprise, a 2 1/2 lb drone. This meets the requirements for registration, but no registration number was provided in the CADORS report.
Many interesting questions raised by this 2 year late report!
