I went to fly my MA yesterday morning and when I hooked it up I got an error showing on my screen in the upper left where it usually says good to go or calibrate compass or whatever. This time it said rear avoidance sensor error, calibrate sensor. Do I tapped on it and it took me to a screen that had me move the drone in square pattern in front of my chest. I could not get it to calibrate. The message would say "calibration failed". I tried it several times with no success. I wondered if I was moving it the wrong direction - clockwise instead of counter clockwise so I tried it that way a few times, but to no effect.
As I had no plans on flying backwards or in close proximity to anything, I just took off and had some fun. I had no issues. It was weird though.
