Hello,

I was just wondering if is recommended or not to use some kind of protection for the camera lens to prevent accidental hit and scratch due to handling the gimbal cover in and out.

I see that in the market some king of material similar to the phone screen protection for this purpose. Also I see some people using a ND filter permanently.

What do you guys think?

I'm a new pilot, so I'm far from being an expert. That said, I went cheap. I originally bought a hobbytiger set from Amazon, but they didn't fit right - too hard to get on and off, and some of the lenses weren't seated properly in their frames. I sent them back and bought the 'Neewer' set, and so far they are great.

Indeed...that is the set I bought. I thought it was a decent price for a uv, cpl and a few nd filters. They fit well and go on easy. You can see that they aren't high end pro quality, but I don't have any complaints yet.
