Camera settings for mixed light?

What are the best camera settings when flying/recording in mixed light? For instance, when there are patchy clouds, so that sometimes the drone is in sun, and sometimes in (relatively bright) shadow?

Me personally, I would perhaps set a custom white balance, in between somewhere that kind of looks okay. Note down that temp, then adjust in post if it gets too warm or cold.

Not sure how effective auto would be. I've never used auto.

If there's clouds I keep it on cloudy, less clouds then in sunny. Seems to be okay.

Thanks.

I had it on auto during a recent flight under those conditions, and there was definitely some white balance issues. Some parts of the video, everything had a yellowish cast.

When in doubt, go with cloudy. People usually tolerate warm images more than cold images.
