Here's a bit of a confusing issue that I just ran into. I have a potential job in this location: The Waterfront

The job will require me to fly into an area defined as 0 max altitude on the FAA UAS map as well as Airmap. Right next to that grid block is a 400 max altitude area. What's weird is that DJI Flysafe does not appear to block out this area, its just a warning zone.

So what should I do in this case? I am Part 107 certified. I'm guessing I need to follow what the FAA data says, but want to make sure I'm not missing something.

Well, which of the sources you list issued your Part 107 certificate? Which of them can revoke/suspend it? Which of them can issue fines?
Here's what the online DJI Geo-Zone map shows.

Yes, I know. It’s just a little confusing because DJI has the ability to completely block you from flying in certain areas. Why don’t they do it in 0 altitude areas too?

Good question! Especially since DJI is currently not a LAANC clearance provider. Check about half way down the chart, then scroll down. Wierd about AirMap as it’s my “go to” app for instant LAANC clearance in most cases.

There are lots of examples of controlled airspace not on DJI Geozones why this is I have no idea probably just a programming error especially since Class D comes in many shapes and sizes.

It looks like this airport participates in LAANC so it’s no big deal at all. This is a no brainer. Free, fast, easy.

That is a problem that increases every day. DJI also throws blocks on areas that don't require authorization.
