It depend if you want to fly at the maximum distance possible, 2.4 GHz will be better in a remote area. At a given location and at a given moment, one of the 2 will give you better distance (means also less disturbance at an average distance). If you not always fly in the same conditions (city, remote etc...) maybe better to leave in auto mode. Also if you don't need long range (> 1km) and operate where there could be nearby you or the MA2 some activity on 2.4GHz, better to leave it on auto I would say.
