Opened in 1909 with 21 arches, and 1,527 feet long, Conisbrough Viaduct formed part of a connection between the Hull & Barnsley Railway and the Great Northern and Great Eastern Railways. Built by Henry Lovat Ltd with 15 million bricks, and a lattice iron section in the centre, the viaduct carries the tracks over the river Don at a height of 116 feet.
