Hi. It's on Nationa Trust land. According to their website you are not allowed to fly there, but it's not an actual. As far as I know only CAA controls airspace. They also have a set of bylaws that could be it legality but they are from 1965 and not a word in them to prevent you from flying over of filming the monument. Just make sure you are respectful and don't obey UK drone code. Also it helps to fly at quiet times like very early in the morning to avoid other people. It just makes it easier.Nicely done mate!
In about a month, I will be in England, and was planning on drone filming the uffington white horse, thinking it was allowed to fly there... can you confirm this? Are English Heritage and National trust sites off limits? How to find out if it is? I am from Holland so not really familiar with English regulations. Thanks in advance!
OK, that's a bummer, I'll bring the mavic, and if we are there early morning, I'll whip it out, otherwise we'll just enjoy it from the groundHi. It's on Nationa Trust land. That's great I remember that place, my wife and I used to camp at a farm just up the road, this trip will bring back memories for sure! There is a car park / lay bay just next to the castle. A perfect location for launching.View attachment 15392
