Great shot. Always wondered how you guys get these extended portrait shots. Is it all in the editing/masking? All the beautiful shots in the dji gallery are long portraits.

The boat was moving from right to left,so I followed it from above and then sped up and just waited for it to enter the frame. It was sunset, so I was -2.0 EV and the only edits were a rotation and crop,a mask on the boat and the wake to lower the Whites and a mask on the sea to make it brighter and a bit colder. Here’a the original

Wow so much knowledge. I have been fiddling (editing) stills for many years and still haven’t mastered masks but usually get there in the end. Clever to take sideways shot and then dramatise it by switching to portrait.
