Yes you are right, its so easy to overlook some things. I did check this part but Stainless Steel is a tricky material, the fatigue doesn't show until its broken.

We are going sailing in Sea of Cortez later this year. I want to get Mavic but worried about release and catching off moving sailboat.

Hi. Flying off the moving boat is a challenge for sure. There are some important things in the settings that need to be got right before trying it. For sure practise hand take-offs and landings ashore lots first. Its much easier if you have someone else to actually hold/grab the drone while you operate the controller. I have to do it all plus sail the boat and it can get pretty hectic!
