Mostly the same but I think I won't order until we know which kit will be sold with a new smart controller. Would prefer not to get the regular controller in a kit and then later try to depend on buying the new smart controller separately at a much higher price. We don't know for sure if there is a new smart controller but if so, for me it's a must as well as that beacon type device. Hopefully those are all included in the US$5K super combo kit.I'm hoping, expecting, wanting my Mav 4 Pro to have full DLog in all lenses. I'm expecting LIDAR and the intelligent RTH. I don't care about vertical shooting but the leaks show a gimble/lens housing that would allow it. I really want big video storage onboard. I see no reason we could not have 256GB of storage and a slot for backup or something. Not dealing with micro sd cards unless we want to would be great. Better battery performance is always nice but I doubt there will be anything but a small incremental gain if that. I'll order the minute they are available since it will most likely spend a month or more at Customs. I'll also be sure to get a set of spare batteries and such ordered right away as they will most likely be unvailable a few weeks after they are released as is often the case. If it would fit my original Mav 3 case that would be nice but with a new lens body I doubt that will be the case.
The thing that stops me dead in my tracks from getting a Matrice is my understanding that at some point you are required to send it in for maintenance. That's a deal breaker for me. Am I correct in that?I am just hoping in the rush to get things registered and out in 2025 with everything going on we don't have a repeate of the mavic 3 release with half the stuff not even working for months after......
I have been putting off thinking of going for matric 4t (it would be neat to have infrared) but end of the day I like taking pictures and think the mavic 4 pro will be the drone for me. (Hopefully not the last one from DJI unless we get something equal in specs and value made here in the states.
Clearly I'm not keeping up What new controller is expected? A new pro controller? I have the current Pro controller and would plan on using that with the new Mav 4, relegating the standard one to my "old" Mav 3 Pro just as I did to my Mav 3... I guess the current Pro controller would not work since it would not be able to use Occusync 4 or whatever will be on the Mav 4 so yeah... if it didn't come with a Pro controller option I'd wait. Point me to any rumors on a new controller if somebody has any ideas as to what is coming...Mostly the same but I think I won't order until we know which kit will be sold with a new smart controller. Would love to have a lot of internal memory, too but earlier I purchased this card for use in the Mavic 4 Pro for $45: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/prod...mb_my512sa_am_512gb_pro_ultimate_microsd.html
Iv never heard that, but I admittedly don't know much about them and haven't looked. Maybe for real work you have to have them calibrated just like you do in industrial settings for certification etc?The thing that stops me dead in my tracks from getting a Matrice is my understanding that at some point you are required to send it in for maintenance. I think I maybe heard one time but not recently about a new smart controller and we thought it was coming with Air 3S option. Certainly the great Mavic 4 Pro cannot be relegated to a lowly RC-2 controller only, that would be really sad since the "eventual" O4 smart controller would probably run $1K+. I honestly don't think the current smart controller will work with an O4 drone else it would be compatible with Air 3S by now; you never know I guess. C'mon DJI....Clearly I'm not keeping up What new controller is expected? A new pro controller?
