I’ve had an interest in a thermal camera and the other ad-ons you have for some time. I do have several questions that may be of interest to others, too, if you will indulge me.

Does the operation of the thermal camera deplete the battery any faster than the basic camera?

Does the thermal recording require any more storage space or downloading time, or any other consideration than normal recording?

l assume the three ad-ons have their own rechargeable batteries. How much flight time for each before needing recharging?

Does the added weight of the various ad-ons lessen the flight time?

I see that all three sit on the frontmost part of the top. That is a placement that is not recommended for strobe lights because of possible interference with a drone’s communications. Is there some sort of electrical modification made for this? That section also has a mounting adaptation for holding the add-ons. Was it factory installed (by D.J.I.) or an after-market addition?

How are each of the ad-ons activated and utilized? I assume the strobe is turned on and off on the ground. Is that true for the spotlight, too? Apparently the speaker can be used remotely, but where is the microphone?


I would think a drone with these features would be a great asset to local fire and rescue agencies and law enforcement. From what I’ve read a Part 107 license is necessary and probably liability insurance. Were you working with these services?

Lastly, I note that you’re in Florida. Does Gov. DeSantis’ opposition to state agencies owning foreign-made drones also preclude them from being able to use private individuals/contractors with such equipment to aid them? Presumably, this is a restriction that could be adopted by any state.

Would you mind offering a ballpark figure on the retail cost of all this equipment?

That’s a lot of questions, but I’m fifteen hours away and not likely to travel that far just because for answers. Would you mind offering a ballpark figure on the retail cost of all this equipment?
