I recently received my waiver for operations over people, which requires prop guards. DJI does not recommend using the plus battery with prop guards installed. Has anyone tried this combination?

It works fine, but it will give you a warning that you are appear to be using prop guards...blah, blah, blah. I have flown a Mini 4 Pro carrying a small mapping camera on its belly, at 75 gr, it is a bit more weight than the guards and it does fine (I get the same warning) It does work better to use the lightweight battery though, better performance with any kind of wind.

There are little tiny eyes that stick out of the arm roots like a scallop and warn the processor (!). I am guessing here, it is based on how hard it is working, ie. current draw. I get it all the time, I have a collection of things I attach to the drones and they are always bitching about it. I suppose they made the Enterprise drones a bit more relaxed about load. Never complained about the RTK module or my spotlight system. The Mavic 3 series didn't seem to complain, just the Minis. I will soon be putting stuff on a Mavic 4 Pro when I fly out and pick mine up next week. Naturally the weather is predicted to be iffy in the area. I don't mind, but the wife gets anxious. So anyhow, we shall see if it is touchy about loads.
