DJI RC Controller WIFI

I just got the new RC for my air 2S. I am trying to connect it to wifi but it keeps failing to connect. The password is fine.

Does the RC only support 2.4 GHz wifi?

You may have to contact DJI. I think the implementation of Wifi on that controller is horrible...but I do get connected so if you can't connect you may have to contact DJI. I would also mention that the battery life with that controller isn't so great since it has a screen to deal with. I was used to flying nearly all day with my RC N1 but have learned to keep an eye on my Mini 3 controller as it definitely doesn't last for a day of flying for me.
