Hi, unfortunately flew my Mavic into a pole a few weeks back. Whilst it is still functional, I broke the drop hook which supports the gimbal. Everything still works ok, but I get the gimbal motor overload error.

I have DJI care refresh, just wondering what the experience has been from Melbourne on repair times, process and experience with repair vs replacement p.

You will be looking at about 3 weeks minimum. From time of postage from Qld, 8 days ago they have just informed me that repairs will take 3 to 5 days. Add return freight time a it will be about 3 weeks.
