DJI Smart Controller or Crystal Sky 5.5

Looking for opinions on which system would be better.

I have the Mavmount and I intend to try out my 12.9 in IPad. But I suspect I won’t be happy with the weight or the brightness. Using my phone is ok for now but it seems less optimal.

How long does the charge last on the Crystal Sky and the Smart Controller?

I am not crazy about the controls being above the screen on the Smart Controller, but I am afraid DJI will come out with something newer better than Crystal Sky soon.

Any opinions and feedback will be greatly appreciated.

i have the 5.5 sky, love it, soooo much more use out of my drone, than a phone,

It's their design identity with this series of drones. I personally HATED the screen below because I was so used to it being above. I finally broke down and got the DJI mount for the Crystalsky and I'm used to it now. The convenience sold it for me. I honestly think that those that complain about it, probably haven't really given it a proper chance. Honestly, I'm not sure what the opposition is about? I have two Mavic controllers, I place a phone in the OEM position on one and in the Polar Pro mount on the other. Then I stare at them for a few minutes... The only positive the Polar Pro brings is the adjustable angle. Even if DJI had made the same Smart Controller but with the screen on top, it wouldn't be adjustable. Oh and for God's sake, the "top" of the remote is maybe an inch and a half. Not exactly, a huge difference.

I have to say, some of these mounting solutions are so elaborate that they look like they could walk on the Moon!

I have the 5.5 & 7.8 CS, both are flawless. Seamless compatibility with the mavic. I have the controller and CS in a linear arrangement, can easily see both without blocking view of either one.
