I have always looked to Litchi for waypoints as I have I always heard how silly it was to use DJI go for waypoint style flying because you had to fly to each destination first. However I spent some time today really digging into all of the different options included in the Go4 app for waypoints and honestly I really like it, and it is super easy and fast to set up. Maybe you already knew this but the fact that you can simply fly to a spot, and a simple C1 click records it as point 1, then fly to a second spot and record it as point 2. Now this is my favorite part, if you adjust your heading between the two points the Mavic will perfectly interpolate between the two points giving you extremely fluid yaw, then you have complete control of the gimbal giving you some beautiful cinematic results. I have also found that this allows you to get way closer to your subject. I love it! Here is a quick shot I did from my front yard, I was able to get much closer to the tree this way and climb in altitude while yawing and controlling the gimbal pitch as it went around thew tree.
