Does the Smart Controller battery need to be conditioned?

I recently bought a Smart Controller from an owner who never used it. Should I condition its battery by running the controller down to 0% two or three times before I begin to charge it regularly?

I know I had to do this with a tablet I bought and with the Apple laptops I've bought in the past.

Thanks in advance for any insights and advice....

I’ve not seen any of the smart controllers that I have with any battery issues.
Use it and charge it when it hits two lights.

The controllers don't have the current draw like the aircraft batteries do so you shouldn't need to condition the controller batteries.
