Any suggestions and recommendations Flying a Drone on this location?

Here’s a start and contact info:
Just returned from there a month ago. Flew my drone multiple times and took it with me on a day snorkel trip. Never any issues questions or problems.

That’s a relief! However strong winds all over the caribbean sea restricts me on flying. Thanks

Was there last year, and wished I'd taken my MP1 with me, but was unsure of the regulations. Am planning a return there next summer for my 60th birthday, and am going to take it this time for the stunning views of the coastline.

I live in the DR and fly my MP1 and MP2 a lot. I've never had an issue with people or authorities but I try to keep a low profile for take off and landing. Attracting attention is one way of getting into trouble here.

I would only caution that its not wise to bring the drone in a big metal box or conspicuous bag, because customs will assume you are doing commercial activity or that you are importing an item into the country (and not taking it back), and then they will try to charge you importation duty which can be up to 50% of the value of the item. I always use my soft case for travel inside my backpack or I have my girlfriend carry it over her shoulder, it looks like a personal video camera and nobody has ever bothered us.
