Interesting discussion at the very end about the drone situation. I think the Pentagon is dreaming about manufacturing their own parts on the military bases but hey, I could be wrong.

alluding to China's current dominance in drone manufacturing and technology. "The United States Army is going to build those on our bases and empower the private sector to purchase from us.

So were gonna put away our M-16's and become Americas Samsung? O.K. LOOK!...I'm an ARMY Vet and I am proud of the Army and what it means to be a soldier, BUT Uuummmm....Not the greatest workforce to employ to make your chips folks..Just sayin.. I mean...Will they be utilizing all that camping equipment we bought? Maybe they can cammo net the board etching stations?
Can you imagine the "clink" of the metal cups and mess kits during lunch break! like an episode of Band of brothers.
Sheesh!!!! I wonder who they paid for that Idea...
Heck for an economy flight and hotel in Washington D.C. every now and then, I could go before the POTUS with some pretty crazy Ideas too! How about a beer that makes you smarter! I got more...

Was that an official Pentagon spokesman saying that they will manufacture drones?

Where will they source parts, like lithium batteries, motors, etc.?

Aren't most of the supply chain for such components mostly in China?

For the same reason it's near impossible to make iPhones in the US competitively, I would think drones would have similar problems, with things like non-standard screws and other parts.

So which is it......Are we preparing for a shooting war with China OR are we just trying to show China that we can compete with them in production? (not gonna happen)
You told me that the big red Bear was spying on us with our Drones and that that Data they collected effected National Security. So you took it away.
But wouldnt Taking the very people that guard are freedoms "off the line" and shoving them into Electronics factories Have a tad bit of an effect on Security as well? just wonderin,
To improve National Security and ready ourselves for any foreign or domestic threat...... Mr. Trump Plans to Destroy the Aerial photography Business and use the military to churn out widgets?!?
I feel safer already.
One more free Idea..Re-open all the Toys are Us Stores Nationwide...You could just use the Air Force as cashiers and such.
