Fan Noise

Hi everyone.

Just got a 5.5 Crystalsky.

Been looking through previous threads but can't find the answer. Apologies if this has been covered before.

After flying for just a couple of minutes my Crstalsky fan comes on and can clearly be heard. Also make a bit of a high pitched noise now and again. Then after a few seconds it is back to silent.
Is this normal?
I was surprised to hear it as I have not read anywhere about fan noise.

The fan noise is normal, as is the fan noise from the controller and Mavic. The high pitched squeal could possibly be a defective fan that has not been manufactured correctly. This should not be happening on a new unit. I would return it for a new one if possible.

I was just surprised to hear anything. I think I was expecting it to be like my phone or iPad.

Just read through a few more of the other posts about overheating and realised a few people have mentioned the fan.

I have the noise too. You can hear it in the cached videos. I'm not sure if mine has a high pitched noise but it is pretty whiny. Is there any way to control it or put passive heat sinks?

I suppose the trade off for the extra bright screen is the heat so they need to cool it some how. I think for me it appears loud because I wasn't expecting any noise. I assumed it was going to be like any other tablet and not have fans in.
