Hello everyone, I’d like some advice from those more experienced than me. I have a DJI Mini 3 Pro and an RC remote controller (the one with the integrated screen). I’d like to enable FCC mode, and I’ve already purchased a license on Drone-Hacks, but I stopped because my Mini 3 Pro is currently on version 01.00.0320. In order to apply the patch, I would need to update to version 01.00.0900.

Since I know that my current version is very old and more easily modifiable, and that updating would mean I can’t go back, I’d like some advice on what to do. The alternative would be to use an RC-N controller, but that’s not a very practical solution as it would require me to carry two controllers and a phone.

Dont worry nothing bad at updating on current firmware, just get a fan Pointed fronting at the drone while updating to avoid overheating, as you seen on forums after they updated their drones it cause signal loss, its because it overheated during Update that damages the 5.8g Chip, and affecting dual band. that is why

Yes, I’m aware of the cooling issue, but my doubts are about the fact that by avoiding firmware updates, I might be able to make patches to the firmware — for example, keeping the navigation lights on during recording — since the more recent firmware versions have been made more secure.
