FedEx Korea in cooperation with FedEx Japan, FedEx US, US Cusoms in Memphis TN and Jorge the driver just completed an overnight delivery of my 3rd M4P to California. It was picked up yesterday morning at 12:15am Pacific Time and in my hands today at 3:20pm. #2 was about 4 days from Korea to Alaska to Illinois to Calif. This one was the same shipping priority, Express, but different path. Korea to Japan to Memphis then to California. Incredible, just over 39 hours.
Edit just for FYI. The date it was built 6/2025.

Same feeling here. I swear it's almost like someone is hand-carrying that box. Whatever they are doing, you can just read the delivery notes online whether it's at the different scan points, Anchorage arrivals, at the local hub, out for delivery even in and out of customs, it's seem like these packages are getting a personal escort.

Whatever FedEx or eBay estimates claim for delivery dates, they're way off as the delivery times seem to be cut in half. Normally FedEx comes by in the latest afternoon but this particular package came before 10am. Again, I don't honestly believe there is anything super special going on here but "something is going on here." This is not normal.

Those sellers in Korea must be making an absolute killing with their markup and by not having to deal with typical or potential customs issues. I don't know exactly what is happening on the Asia end but I see some prices from Korean sellers coming down which during these times is hard to believe. I just hope August 1st doesn't change things which is why I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger now.

I know the FedEx model is to ship everything to a sorting facility, in this case Memphis then redistribute. What is strange on this one is that it scanned at a hub in Los Angeles about 60 miles from my house. I didn't go through customs at LAX. It was off to Memphis where it cleared customs then back to the best coast. Maybe I would have got it sooner if it was sorted here.

I ordered a second Creator Combo for myself from K_Wave early this morning based upon a total price of $4,000, including eBay sales tax, with "Delivery: Estimated between Tue, Aug 5 and Tue, Aug 12." However my confirmation email now states,

"This is a Pre-Order product (4-6 weeks delivery time).
⚖️CUSTOMS & DUTIES
Ship worldwide. Customs (10-20%) vary by country.
Customer pays all duties."

Things have apparently changed!
I am canceling the order.

When I bought from K-Wave, the title of the listing said this:

[NEW] [EXPRESS] DJI Mavic 4 Pro 512GB Creator Combo (DJI RC Pro 2+3 Batteries)

The records show they made a change:

Jul 29, 2025
07:28:54 PM PDT
Title

Now the title says this:

[NEW] [Pre-Order] DJI Mavic 4 Pro 512GB Creator Combo (DJI RC Pro 2+3 Batteries)

I really don't see where they have made any other recent changes to the customs information but it's hard to tell.

There is this one which might still be available, I don't see any changes there either but we are close to end of the month. It's not yet August 1st in S. Korea:

[NEW] DJI Mavic 4 Pro 512GB Creator Combo W/ DJI RC Pro 2 100% Genuine - Express

Just placed another order of "last one" through your link above. $50 more. Let's see what his confirmation email says! At least he allows 30 day returns, but delivery is pushed out to August 11 to August 18. Let me know in a PM what shenanigans to expect as it makes its way to me, if it is legit.

I think you should know right away, please check for a "your item has shipped" notification in about 8 hours which is how long mine took after I placed the order. If it goes by FedEx then I think you are in the clear but....I guess you never know. I didn't believe anything until I got the box in my hands.

If they need to ship by or before August 1 to avoid tariffs, they still have to ability to do so, if it was truly in stock. We'll see!

I beleive it has to go through customs by August 1. Keep in mind there is currently a 10% tariff on goods from Korea going to 15% on August 1. The only way these are going through without paying tariffs, duties and fees they are being misrepresented on the customs forms by the seller. Whether it was showing a used item or naming it other than a DJI Drone with a different code. The declared value had to be less than $800. Many of the known Korean sellers handled it this way, K Wave, 102 Store, DW Store, US Store to name a few. Of these only K Wave is selling now with pre-order. The new sellers that have come in are unknown on how the will handle customs. There has always been some risk because customs can and will randomly inspect contents for accuracy of forms. Also they X Ray packages, a sharp agent may detect it as a DJI drone. Either of these detections will most likely result in confiscation. Just beware if you use a seller that doesn't have a track record of handling customs in this way if you are looking to avoid duty and fees.

We still have a bit longer than 24 hours for any last minute deals. check your PM.

Yes, I strongly suspected that fraudulent Customs declaration forms by the seller were part of the process. However, the sub $800 exclusion ended months ago. Should the item arrive with additional Customs Fees of 15% due, and it is therefore refused and returned to the seller, as long as the seller states they accept returns on the eBay listing within 30 days (mine does), eBay and PayPal should refund the purchase price. Worst case, they charge me for the cost of return shipping. Hopefully, the seller's subterfuge succeeds and it arrives at my door without any controversy or fees due! The one I ordered from is MIDO SHOP.

I’m happy you got your M4P quickly.
More importantly, who was the seller in Korea? I purchased my M4P CC from 102_store00.

Don’t be too quick with your alcolades for FedEX. Just as soon as you’re impressed you’ll be disappointed. FedEX promises the ‘World on Time’. But there’s many instances where they fall significantly short of that promise.

Great shipping???????? I can't even get them to follow the delivery instructions left on their website so my
packages stop getting stolen!!!!! Guess maybe it helps if one lives in a large metropolis?

I;m going to agree this is the exception for FedEx. For these packages coming from Korea, they have been stellar. Otherwise, FedEx is horrendous.

I agree with you. I have had terrible luck with FedEx over the years. Even today I just got notification they rescheduled my delivery from B and H from today to tomorrow. If given the choice I would use UPS.

The $800 exception was eliminated by Trump on May 2nd for China only. I noticed when I bought my filters from Freewell (China) they shipped them to Singapore first. Another loophole. Just yesterday Trump signed an order to eliminate it for the rest of the world effective Aug 29th. I have been learning a lot since becoming an international smuggler.
